ZigBee implementation for Automotive Industry

This bachelor’s thesis describes possibilities of usage of ZigBee communication protocol in automotive industry, transport and logistics. Thesis also deals with ways of practical implementation of ZigBee protocol including typical cases solutions, designing and realization of necessary electrotechnical devices and modules followed by compilation of control software and experimental measurements of these devices in real traffic flow. In the first part of thesis, there are some basic features and parameters of ZigBee reminded, followed by ways of ZigBee communicator usage description and adumbrating how to perform integration with existing practical systems. The second part is about analysis of ZigBee data system construction, communication system scheme design and pre-projection of block schemes of its particular cells. The third part concretizes requested functions and features of these cells and describes ways of its hardware realization. The fourth section describes controlling software design, connection and controll of functions using PC and additional programs, using of X-CTU software offered by MaxStream Company to set up XBee parameters and using of AVR Studio 4 offered by Atmel Company to set up ATmega16 processor. The last part is taken by completation of hardware and software, tests with a few of XBee chips and network nodes in laboratory conditions and examples from the real traffic range measurement.

Design and realization of wireless interface ODBII-XBee

This master’s thesis describes possibilities of usage of ZigBee communication protocol and integrated circuit ELM 327 in problem of realization universal diagnostic device, running by OBDII communication standards, which can be used to monitor function of all car´s electronic systems. Thesis also deals with design and realization of necessary electro technical devices and modules followed by compilation of control software and experimental measurements of these devices in real traffic flow. In the first part of project, there are reminded some basic features and parameters of OBDII, followed by description of ways how to use OBDII and adumbrating how to realize universal diagnostic system. The analysis of ZigBee system focused on XBee circuits follows. Construction, ways of data transfer and possibilities of controlling are described. Integrated circuits produced by ELM Electronics Company are introduced and possibilities of usage ELM 327 are described as requested by main task. Second part talks about designing of electronic circuits of this system, assembling schematic diagram and designing sources for production of PCB. Physical realization of these circuits and its first start is also included. Thesis finishes by dealing with practical experiences and measurements using real vehicles. This part talks also about means to improve system by several software solutions to reach more effective functioning of created device.

The impact of the development of music streaming services on Czech radio stations

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the transformation of communication of Czech radio stations in the light of the development of streaming platforms, new media and technologies. In particular, it describes how radio stations use new media to communicate and complement traditional FM broadcasting. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the history of radio in our country, introduces streaming services as a new way of music distribution and summarizes the views of some authors who have dealt with the topic before. The practical part of the thesis consists of an analysis of media outputs of individual stations and interviews with respondents, professionals from radio practice.

Content analysis of Czech Television broadcasting before the Czech Parliamentary Elections 2021

This thesis deals with the issue of compliance with the principles of objectivity in the broadcasting of Czech Television, namely its news program Události and a series of pre- election debates in the period of one month before the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic in autumn 2021. The research was carried out using the method of quantitative content analysis, the subject of which was the speeches of representatives of the candidate movements and parties, specifically their frequency and length across the both analyzed programs. The analysis was also interested in the presence of politicians' evaluations in the speeches of members of the Czech Television staff, the valence of the questions asked within the debates, the speeches of external speakers within the Události, but also thematic programs. and the space associated with them, which was provided to the individual candidate subjects in the monitored broadcast sample for expression.

Milan Weiner and his position in media. Biographical study

The aim of the diploma thesis entitled Milan Weiner and his position in the media is to map the life and professional career of journalist Milan Weiner, and to highlight his contribution to Czechoslovak Radio. This professional biographical study is organised in chronological order and covers a period of 45 years - from 1924 to 1969 (i.e. from Weiner's birth to his death). Most of the chapters begin with the political-social environment of the time to provide context, as they had a significant influence on Weiner's existence due to his Jewish origin. The main part of the thesis deals with the activities of Weiner in Czechoslovak Radio, where he joined in 1963 as the head of the Redakce mezinárodního života. The text also describes Weiner's family background, his stay in concentration camps and his work as a foreign-news correspondent for the Rudé právo and the ČTK in Beijing. While working on this study, the method of comparison was used on the gained materials, as well as the method of oral history based on a personal interview conducted with the daughter of Milan Weiner, Jana Šmídová.

The Rigorous thesis Foreign Broadcast Department of the Former the Czechoslovak Radio in the 1960s describes the operation of an important part of the key broadcasting institution in the former Czechoslovakia. The text includes biographies of journalists working in the department as well as of its chief editors and the Czechoslovak Radio directors. It also deals with the activities of Milan Weiner, the key chief editor of the Foreign Department who led the team in 1963-1967. A description of an important period, the so-called Prague Spring, in 1968 is also included. The text also describes the period of the so-called Normalisation in former Czechoslovakia. It contains an overview of the political and social situation in the former Czechoslovakia in the second half of the twentieth century and its reflection in the overall operation of the former Czechoslovak Radio.

Judicial review of administrative decisions in the area of television and radio broadcasting

55 Abstract - Judicial Review of Administrative Decisions in the Area of Television and Radio Broadcasting The aim of the thesis is firstly analyzing the system of radio and television broadcasting in the Czech Republic and the legal environment in which this system exists. In the beginning the thesis describes historical development of broadcasting in our country since monopoly state broadcasting system to the present dual system, which enables private subjects to run their own broadcasting. Furthermore, the thesis analyzes the role of the Czech Broadcasting Council as a central administrative body in the scope of media market. The Council grants broadcasting licences and registrations but primarily supervises whether broadcasters fulfil their duties established in the Broadcasting Act. In case they do not, the Council releases an administrative decision and may impose sanctions against broadcasters. The crucial part of this thesis deals with judicial review of the above mentioned administrative decisions. It describes legal regulation of the judicial review and deals with basic questions regarding the content of broadcasting. 2010 - "Počítáme s dětmi v České televizi": Programmes for Children and Youth in the Czech Television

The diploma thesis "The Year 2010 - Pocitame s detmi v Ceske televizi: Programmes for Children and Youth in the Czech Television" deals with broadcasting for children and youths on Czech Television and focuses on the production of cyclic programmes. It summarizes the production of these programmes since the beginning of Czech Television in 1992 until 2010. The author also describes the structure of production centers in Czech Television that used to produce and are still producing those programmes. Furthermore, the author analyzes the strategy Pocitame s detmi v Ceske televizi which followed the previous projects - "Osudove osmicky v nadich dejinach" (the Fateful Eights in our history) and "Rok svobody" (the Year of Freedom). The analysis consists of an overview of existing, new cyclic and also planned programmes which Czech Television started or planned to broadcast during this strategy. Political influences on Czechoslovak Radiojournal between September 1938 and March 1939

In the present work we strive to describe those political phenomena which influenced, directly or indirectly, Radiojournal Ltd., the only radio broadcaster in Czechoslovakia during 1923 - 1939. However, it is the period of the so-called 'second republic' that can be approximately set between the conclusion of the Munich Pact at the end of September 1938 and the occupation of the rest of Czechoslovakia on 15th March 1939, which is in the centre of our attention. At that time, the system of politics, power and social situation underwent a reconstitution marked above all by centralising efforts hand in hand with the suppression of liberal and democratic principles. Sometimes we talk about the so-called 'authoritative democracy'. Radiojournal could not escape these changes. Formally, it was a private company with 51 % of shares owned by the state. And civil servants or politicians themselves were members of the managing and supervisory bodies of this institution ever since 1925. This situation was maintained also during the 'second republic' when the grip of the state became even stronger. In the new situation, proposals were made to nationalize the institution. The end of Wetten dass...? The dialogic analysis of an entertainment show

This master's thesis presents the dialogical analysis of the German TV show 'Wetten, dass...?'.The main target is to analyse the internal as well as the external dialogical structure of two Wetten, dass...? shows. The internal structure is based on the dialogue between the showmaster and his guests. On the other hand, the external one is based on the dialogue between the showmaster and the audience. The purpose of this master's thesis is to show how each showmaster is trying to interact two groups of people as well as to analyse if there is a difference between both of them. The theoretical part of this thesis defines the term 'TV entertainment' and describes different types of dialogues. It is also focused on the show Wetten, dass...?, on its concept, each showmaster, audience raking, criticism and other competition. The practical part describes two chosen Wetten, dass...? shows in terms of their dialogicity. The main point is the showmaster, who is trying to act dialogically in relation to his quests and audience.
